As a Security Officer Checkpoint Monitor in Romeoville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This part‑time role allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new opportunities through our Claim a Shift platform. Job Details Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.04 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security‑related screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities. Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established protocols. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts, policy violations, and unusual activity to the appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills, including assisting with alarms, medical events, and operational disruptions. Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, screening stations, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and support daily site operations. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
