Accounting Assistant

Plancorp is seeking a diligent, detail-oriented individual to work with our existing team in advocating for a small number of ultra-high net worth clients. The primary responsibility of the Family Office Assistant will be to provide bookkeeping, financial reporting, and administrative support to these clients. The position requires strong attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism, as well as the ability to work closely with the client’s staff, including onsite support at the client’s office approximately twice per week in the Central West End Area of St. Louis. Other responsibilities may include bill pay services and serving as the primary liaison between these clients and their custodians to open accounts, execute financial transactions, manage cash flow, etc. As with all positions at Plancorp specific duties will be adapted to our clients’ needs. What you bring: 2+ years of experience related to Family Office Assistant duties B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited four-year university; accounting or business major strongly preferred. Proficiency with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications. Aptitude and willingness to learn new software quickly. Comfort working in a client-facing environment. Ability to leverage interpersonal skills to strengthen relationships internally and externally. Strong client service orientation and commitment to acting in the client’s best interest. Respect for the confidentiality of client and firm information. Strong organizational, financial, and analytical skills. Strict attention to detail. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently and independently. Basic knowledge of accounting principles. Bonus Points for: Experience interacting with institutional custodians (Charles Schwab and Fidelity). Bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and bill-pay experience. Basic knowledge of federal and state individual income taxes. Why Work With Us?
