Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Location: Jefferson City, Tennessee Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team in Jefferson City, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality speech and language services to students, working closely with educators and families to support student communication and academic success. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each students unique needs. Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure student progress and well-being. Maintain detailed records of student evaluations, progress, and therapy sessions. Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development. Provide guidance and training to school staff and parents on strategies to support speech and language development. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Valid Tennessee state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Tennessee Department of Education certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist. Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Required Licensure and Certifications: Tennessee Speech-Language Pathologist License Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA Tennessee Department of Education Certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist Passing scores on relevant Praxis exams (if required by the state) Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job duties that may involve lifting, bending, sitting, and standing for extended periods. Capability to manage the physical demands of working with young children and students with special needs.
