Staff Pharmacist - Outpatient Retail Pharmacy

$55 - $78 per hour

Job Description

Join a nationally recognized health system with a strong reputation for patient care and pharmacy excellence. We are seeking a customer-focused Staff Pharmacist to join a busy outpatient retail pharmacy serving the Cooperstown community. This full-time contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work with advanced pharmacy technology while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

Responsibilities

Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
Provide immunization services.
Support the Meds to Beds program for hospital patients.
Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care.
Process prescriptions using PioneerRx and EPIC.
Deliver exceptional customer service with every patient interaction.
Occasionally provide coverage at nearby pharmacy locations as needed for vacation or sick coverage.

Work Hours

Full-time contract
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
40 hours per week

Experience

Retail or outpatient pharmacy experience required.
Experience in a high-volume pharmacy preferred (approximately 1,100 prescriptions per week).
PioneerRx experience preferred.
EPIC experience preferred.
Experience providing immunizations preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
Active New York Pharmacist license in good standing.
