As we grow, were looking for forward-thinking professionals who thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments./ppThe QC Manager is responsible for leading the quality control function within the mortgage lending division to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, CAKE Non-QM guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, etc.), and internal policies. This position manages post-closing and pre-funding loan audits, coordinates with internal and external auditors, and ensures timely reporting of findings and remediation strategies./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliDevelop, implement, and manage a comprehensive mortgage quality control program./liliOversee pre-funding audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance./liliManage QC staff, including hiring, training, supervision, and performance evaluation./liliEnsure audits are conducted in compliance with agency (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA) and CAKE Non-QM guidelines./liliAnalyze audit results and report findings to senior management, identifying trends and systemic issues./liliCollaborate with underwriting, processing, closing, and compliance teams to resolve deficiencies and implement corrective action./liliPrepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual QC reports./liliMonitor changes in mortgage regulations and agency/investor guidelines to keep the QC process up to date./liliCoordinate third-party audits and regulatory exams./liliMaintain documentation of all audit procedures, results, and remediation actions./liliSupport training and education efforts across departments to reduce QC errors./li/ulpRequirements:/pulliMinimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage quality control, underwriting, or compliance./liliMinimum of 3 years of prior leadership experience in mortgage QC or risk management./liliStrong knowledge of mortgage loan products, processes, and documentation./liliIn-depth understanding of investor guidelines and regulatory compliance (e.g., RESPA, TILA, HMDA, TRID)./liliAnalytical and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills./liliProficient in mortgage LOS platforms (e.g., Encompass) and QC tools./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departments./li/ulpWhy Join CAKE Mortgage?/pulliBe part of a fast-growing company changing the game in Non-QM./liliCompetitive compensation and performance-based bonuses./liliCollaborative and entrepreneurial culture./liliOpportunities for career advancement and innovation./li/ulpCake Mortgage does not tolerate discrimination of any type.
