Job Title: Team Lead Job Description

The Team Lead oversees production employees on shift, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture in a fast-paced food and beverage manufacturing environment.

• Lead and support production employees throughout the shift, providing clear direction and hands-on guidance.
• Monitor production activities to ensure efficiency, product quality, and safety goals are consistently achieved.
• Coach, train, and develop team members to build skills, improve performance, and support career growth.
• Assist with staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage for all production lines and shifts.
• Coordinate and support production changeovers to minimize downtime and maintain throughput.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Operations, and Warehouse teams to resolve problems quickly.
• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, records, and reports, including metrics and efficiencies.
• Track production metrics and efficiencies, and use data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment by modeling appropriate behaviors and holding team members accountable.
• Support employee training and onboarding to ensure new hires understand processes, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

• 2+ years of leadership experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading production employees or line operators on the manufacturing floor.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety requirements in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated experience coaching employees and driving accountability within a team.
• Ability to troubleshoot production and machine-related issues in real time.
• Experience with GMP and food safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with changeovers and production scheduling.
• Experience tracking production metrics and efficiencies and using them to guide decisions.
• Background working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, Operations, and Warehouse teams.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey expectations and feedback.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and develop team members.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to changing schedules.

• Production supervision and production management experience.
• Hands-on experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Well-developed supervisory and management skills in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in employee training and onboarding programs.
• Comfort using production documentation and reporting tools.
• Ability to promote and maintain a positive, team-oriented culture on the production floor.

This role is based in a high-volume food and beverage manufacturing facility with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. You will work 12-hour shifts following a structured rotating schedule. Day schedules include Sunday through Tuesday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Wednesday from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., or Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Thursday through Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening schedules include Sunday through Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. with Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., or Wednesday from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. with Thursday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. The environment is fast-paced and requires consistent adherence to GMP and food safety standards, along with close collaboration with Maintenance, Quality, Operations, and Warehouse teams. Company-provided uniforms and a protective shoe stipend support safety and comfort on the production floor, and employees can take breaks in an on-site lounge with a free coffee bar.

This is a Permanent position based out of Pittston, PA.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $58240.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
