Position Summary Department: 8720 Clinical Operations – Administration Shift: Day – 12‑hour shift (United States of America) Benefits: Eligible for Full‑Time benefits Role: Responsible for hospital‑wide operational throughput oversight, staffing and support resources management, front‑line leadership for operational and financial management, and public and internal staff relations. Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Joint Commission standards, California's Nursing Practice Act, Title 22 and 17, federal guidelines, HIPAA policies, and Kaweah Health quality procedures. Participate in the development of patient care policies, procedures, protocols, and standards; hold staff accountable for meeting nursing practice standards and patient care expectations. Coach and develop staff to continuously improve patient care, investigating errors, developing response plans, and providing feedback. Use the NOE process to identify unusual occurrences, report sentinel events immediately, and collaborate with the Risk Manager as needed. Assess and improve staff performance, using patient satisfaction data and staffing competencies to meet patient needs and adjust staffing levels as census dictates. Ensure quality of care by organizing patient care and service in collaboration with Directors and nurses, responding to unexpected staff shortages, and prioritizing patient needs. Document patient classification to meet Title 22 requirements, align staffing standards with budgeted staffing, and communicate effectively with key stakeholders. Participate in meetings, projects, and decision‑making, maintain patient confidentiality, and act as a patient advocate, coach, and mentor. Qualifications License / Certification: CA RN license, BLS, and Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer. Preferred certifications: ACLS, BSN or MSN. Preferred experience: Supervisory experience. Knowledge/skills: expert clinical skills, excellent oral and written communication, critical, creative and problem‑solving skills.
