Warehouse PositionPay: $18.83-$26.82EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:Loading and unloading of trucksEnsuring all merchandise is labeled with a destination using a scan gun properlyRemoving any damaged merchandise and taking it to the repair shopStaging merchandise in the correct area within the warehouse in a timely fashionAssembly/disassembly of merchandiseKeeping the warehouse area cleanRemoving trash from the work areaSweeping the work areaInspecting merchandise for functionality, damages, defects, and imperfectionsLoading customer merchandiseMaking all necessary copies and paperwork for the Control Booth and obtaining customer signatures on waiversKnowledge of correct ticket proceduresGathering empty boxes and breaking them downSweeping the warehouseOperating the trash compactorMoving items with lift trucks or cartsAccounting for all scheduled items for next day deliveryChecking for shortages through auditing the manifestUse proper procedures when working with knives, flat carts, and lifting merchandiseAssisting other departments in the warehouse as neededChecking daily closing assignments and responsibilitiesUsing excellent customer relations when working with internal and external customersPerform any other duties as directed by managementEMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbsAbility to communicate effectively with team membersPositive attitude when working with customersAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety proceduresPHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following:Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motionHeavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs constantly to move objectsWork Environment: Occasionally works in hot and/or cold temperatures and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditionsMathis Home promotes and maintains a drug-free work environment.
