Join us!Job DescriptionPurpose of Job:The Hot Shot Driver delivers batteries to dealers when requested. They also assist with warehouse operations and assist Route Managers.Job Components:Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as neededLoad and unload batteriesGeneral warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customersDeliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional mannerFollow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policiesEnsure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotationAccurately complete reports and claimsInteract professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customersFollow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the managerPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to read, write, and do basic mathWorking knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems requiredWorking knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirementsAbility to operate a motor vehicle and/or forkliftScope Data:Works under general supervision and guidanceAccountable for general warehouse duties and backup driving responsibilities, in addition to occasional front counter customer service.Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitudeWork Environment:Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.Repetitive lifting.Consistent sitting, standing and walkingSpecific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbsExposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicleExposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicalsUse of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requiredNote: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.Interstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
