Title: Senior Aircraft Manufacturing / Integration Engineer
Location: Palmdale, CA
Payrate: $50.00-$110/hr OTCA
position requires an Active DoD Secret Clearance

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Manufacturing / Integration Engineer to support the build, integration, and producibility of complex aircraft systems and structures.

This is a hands-on engineering role supporting new aircraft development, prototype builds, first-article integration, and production readiness . The ideal candidate has strong aircraft assembly experience and is comfortable working directly with engineering, manufacturing, and shop-floor teams to solve problems and improve how aircraft hardware is built.

What You'll Do

• Support aircraft hardware integration and final assembly activities.
• Review 3D engineering models and technical drawings for manufacturability and producibility .
• Identify design issues, omissions, or assembly challenges and recommend practical engineering solutions.
• Develop and improve assembly sequences, manufacturing operations, and build procedures .
• Provide direct engineering support to manufacturing and touch-labor teams on the shop floor.
• Work closely with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve production issues.
• Support prototype, first-article, and new product introduction (NPI) programs.
• Investigate manufacturing and integration problems and drive corrective actions.
• Provide feedback to design teams to improve aircraft assembly, installation, serviceability, and maintainability.
• Work within a model-based engineering environment using 3DX / CATIA .
• Support liaison engineering activities and disposition manufacturing or design-related issues.
• Participate in integrated product teams and independently make technical decisions affecting aircraft build and integration.
• Travel periodically as required to support aircraft integration and program activities.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience with aircraft structures, aircraft subsystems, assembly, or integration.
• 5+ years of hands-on aircraft experience supporting production, manufacturing, maintenance, testing, or integration.
• Experience supporting prototype, development, first-article, or new product introduction programs .
• Recent experience with 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) or CATIA V5 .
• Experience reviewing engineering models and drawings for manufacturability and producibility.
• Strong understanding of aircraft assembly processes and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Highly Desired Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is a strong plus:

• Aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting
• Liaison or manufacturing engineering
• Shop-floor production support
• Manufacturing work instruction development
• Aircraft wiring harnesses and interconnect installation
• Aircraft fuel systems
• Jet engine installation, integration, service, or maintenance
• Metallic machining and fabrication processes
• DELMIA
• Aircraft maintenance experience
• A&P license or similar aviation certification
• Complete aircraft or integrated air vehicle development

Education

An engineering degree is preferred but equivalent hands-on aircraft manufacturing, integration, or maintenance experience will also be considered.
