Test Automation Engineer

Kforce has a client seeking a Test Automation Engineer in Miami, FL (Florida). Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated validation tests for applications, infrastructure, operating systems, databases, APIs, cloud services, and middleware following deployments
• Integrate smoke tests, health checks, service validations, and infrastructure verification into Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
• Support DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives by improving deployment reliability, operational readiness, and issue detection
• Automate validation of Windows/Linux patching, AWS infrastructure changes, Ansible deployments, configuration updates, and infrastructure-as-code implementations
• Establish quality gates, pipeline pass/fail criteria, automated reporting, and rollback readiness checks
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, Ansible, Jenkins, Selenium (or equivalent), and API testing tools
• Leverage monitoring, logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts to validate system health after change events
• Troubleshoot failed validations, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues
• Maintain runbooks, testing standards, operational procedures, and deployment validation documentation
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud operations, systems engineering, automation, or related fields
• Strong experience with Windows, Linux, AWS, Jenkins, Ansible, and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell
• Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, Git-based workflows, and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Experience with automated testing frameworks, API testing, observability platforms, and production support
• Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills
