Job Title: SAP Payroll Systems Analyst Job Location: Tempe Arizona 85281 Job Duration: 12+ Months Contract Job Description About the role Team: Payroll Automation – Finance Division We are seeking a Payroll Systems / Business Analyst to support the Payroll Automation Team within the Finance Division. This role will focus on payroll systems, business process analysis, testing, implementation, documentation, and downstream integrations impacting payroll and the general ledger. What You’ll Do Gather, analyze, and document business and payroll requirements. Develop business documentation including process flows, functional requirements, test plans, test scripts, and test results. Support testing and implementation of payroll systems and downstream interfaces. Analyze payroll processes and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and automation. Work closely with Finance, Payroll, IT, and other internal/external stakeholders. Represent the department in meetings and communicate requirements, issues, and solutions effectively. Assist with identifying and documenting internal controls in support of audit and compliance activities. Manage multiple priorities while supporting payroll-related projects and initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience/training. Hands-on SAP Payroll experience is required. Strong understanding of payroll processes and business systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. 3–5 years of experience in Payroll, Finance, or Accounting. Experience with business systems analysis, functional design, process modeling, and system documentation. Experience with system implementation, testing, UAT, and regression testing. Ability to interpret and work with labor agreements. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
