Job Description

A hospital pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to work at a small, 25-bed hospital in a rural Illinois setting. This contract position offers a chance to practice in a close-knit hospital environment, serving the community with essential pharmaceutical care.

Location:

Macomb, Illinois

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Potential weekend rotation

Responsibilities:

Dispense medications accurately and safely within the hospital setting
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
Participate in clinical rounds and provide pharmaceutical insights
Manage IV therapy preparation and nutritional support as required
Monitor pharmacokinetics and adjust medication plans accordingly

Desired Qualifications:

Current Illinois pharmacist license is mandatory
Minimum of 1 year recent hospital pharmacy experience
Additional training or experience in nutritional support, IV therapy, and pharmacokinetics is highly valued
Strong communication and teamwork skills
