Help Build and Expand Neurosurgery Service Line in Charming Southern City

A Southern medical center affiliated with a large hospital chain is seeking four neurosurgeons to help build their outstanding neuroscience program. Strong candidates will have an interest in general neurosurgery.

Opportunity Details

• Senior Staff Neurosurgeons providing support from a nearby Level I Trauma facility
• Opportunity to build an elective community neurosurgery program
• APP support in clinic, OR and call - APPs take first call and see patients in clinic first to qualify surgical cases
• Modern 10,000 square foot facility adjacent to the hospital
• Block OR time available
• Stealth Navigation, brand new O-Arm, brand new Stryker drills

This is a Level III designated trauma center and primary stroke center with more than 500 beds. The hospital does not receive major trauma cases as these go to the nearby Level I center. There are cases leaving the area that can be captured so immediate volume is available. The ideal first hire will be an experienced person who can offer mentorship and continue to grow the team to a team of four.

This neuroscience practice operates out one of the three tertiary centers within the 21-hospital health system. The size of the community requires additional neurosurgeons to meet its needs. The practice is looking forward to adding a team member with the skill and energy to meet the demands of this Level III trauma center and growing region and continuing to grow the program with the additional hire of 3 more neurosurgeons to the group.
