Warehouse Team Lead

Overview Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Franklin, Indiana. Responsibilities Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations. Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to team members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics. Inspire and guide team members towards improved KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles and methods. Assist in providing orientation and the necessary information, technology and tools for employees to perform their jobs. Promote health and safety methods within the warehouse. Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading). Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred One (1) year or more Microsoft Office experience preferred One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner is preferred Valid forklift operator's license certified Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective leadership skills Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational skills Proactively approaches responsibilities Maintains composure under pressure Working knowledge of health and safety methods Bilingual (For Québec locations only) is optional About the role Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles support distribution across the US.
