Purpose: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Mortgage Quality Control Analyst to join our Residential Lending team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of all residential loan originations. You will serve as a critical line of defense, ensuring that every loan file meets internal policy standards and all applicable State and Federal regulations before closing. This is not a remote position, salary range: $29.74 - $31.79 hourly rate Key Responsibilities:- Prepare TRID-compliant Loan Estimates (LEs), Change of Circumstances (COCs), and Closing Disclosures (CDs).
- Review loans for compliance with all applicable mortgage regulations including RESPA, TILA, HMDA, Regulation B, and other relevant guidelines.
- Prepare and issue all required regulatory disclosures accurately and within mandated timeframes.
- Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and consistent with bank policy and investor guidelines.
- Review and analyze borrower documentation and third-party reports, including appraisals, title commitments, and credit reports.
- Perform quality review and analysis of borrower credit, employment history, income, and assets in accordance with applicable loan program requirements.
- Verify conditions of approval, including income/asset documentation, credit review, and property eligibility.
- Review bank-prepared forms for accuracy and inconsistencies; advise on necessary corrections prior to closing.
- Monitor and manage the loan pipeline to ensure timely closings and adherence to compliance deadlines.
- Assist management in periodic loan audits to verify compliance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, market conditions, and regulatory changes.
- Manage a high-volume pipeline while meeting product-specific turn time requirements.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, quality control, compliance, or underwriting.
- Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, TILA, HMDA, Regulation B, and other applicable Federal and State mortgage regulations.
- Experience preparing Loan Estimates, Closing Disclosures, and Change of Circumstance notices.
- Strong analytical ability with experience reviewing and validating borrower financial documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS); Encompass or similar platform preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet closing deadlines.
- Experience with FHA, VA, USDA, or conventional loan programs.
- Familiarity with Fannie Mae (FNMA) and Freddie Mac (FHLMC) guidelines.
- Prior experience in a community bank or financial institution setting.
