This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a passion for working in a fast-paced, challenging environment, and possesses a deep understanding of heavy equipment, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems. As a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and service of heavy construction equipment in our state‑of‑the‑art facility. You will be working with a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients. Responsibilities Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy construction equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues including diesel engine, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment. Read, interpret, and apply information from complex schematics and diagrams. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition. Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and providing technical support as needed. Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are available for repairs and maintenance. Regularly update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications. Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician or in a related role. High School diploma required, Trade school certificate preferred. Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams. Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred. Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools. Proficient in the use of diesel and hydraulic systems. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely. Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix mechanical issues. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team. Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to providing a high level of service.
