Claims Assistant

We are looking for a Claims Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities Assists claimants, providers, and clients with problems or questions regarding their claims and/or policies. Ensures compliance with state laws, company policies, and procedures in all claim‑related activities. Monitors incoming emails and enters information received in the database within 24 hours. Enters 50% notices/Trigger Diagnosis Reports and alerts nurses on any potentially large claimants based on the guidelines established (diagnosis and/or dollar amount). Enters LCM (Large Case Management) notices and notifies the nurse. Processes claims, checks, and SLAM Reports. Qualifications BA/BS degree preferred or high school diploma with six to twelve months related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Ability to process a high volume of transactions accurately. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
