Human Resources Generalist

This role will build and manage core HR functions — recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance — as the college grows its faculty and staff base. What You'll Do: Support the institution's mission through people-focused HR practices Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding for faculty and staff Administer employee benefits, PTO, and leave programs Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment law Develop and maintain HR policies and the employee handbook Support performance management and employee relations matters Partner with department leaders on staffing and workforce planning Collaborate with a fractional CHRO as that role comes online Support accreditation-related HR documentation and compliance Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3+ years of HR generalist experience; higher education or healthcare experience preferred Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Experience with HRIS/payroll systems SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr The Valley College of Osteopathic Medicine
