Overview Job Title: News Reporter/Anchor Department: News Reporting To: Brand Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Greenville, SC Work Arrangement: On-site Job Description: News/Talk 98.9 WORD (WYRD-FM) Full-time News Anchor/Reporter, On-Air and digital content. Must have an aggressive, curious mindset and work ethic. Responsibilities Cover breaking news on-air, and in digital content Develop compelling news, content for on-air and on digital assets. Other duties as required by management Qualifications High energy, passionate approach needed Journalistic writing skills a must Simple digital video and editing skills Anchoring on-air newscasts Understand that accurate reporting and speed to market is critical Must be mobile to cover news on the scene and in the field Existing cell phone service and recent edition smartphone A vision for excellence A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required. Preferred: 2 or more years experience covering breaking news, and original news stories for media using audio and digital assets.
