Learn the business from senior project staff who invest in developing engineers, with a clear track toward Senior PE and beyond.• Meaningful FDOT roadway work in one of Florida's most desirable markets.• The stability of an established, well-funded contractor with a deep project pipeline.• Direct-hire with full benefits — medical, retirement, PTO, and the backing of a top Florida builder.WHAT YOU'LL DO• Manage RFIs and submittals — keep information moving between designers, the owner, and subcontractors.• Support the Superintendent in the field on material tracking, subcontractor scheduling, and daily sequencing.• Help track quantities, pay estimates, and project costs.• Review plans and specs to catch conflicts and constructability issues early.• Keep documentation, daily reports, and records aligned to FDOT standards.• Support scheduling, look-ahead planning, and change-order documentation.WHAT YOU BRING• 2+ years of project or field engineering in heavy-civil / heavy-highway construction.• A heavy-civil / FDOT roadway background (or comparable DOT roadway experience).• Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent field experience.• The ability to read civil construction plans and specifications.NICE TO HAVE• Direct FDOT project experience.• Familiarity with Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project.• EIT certification or measurable progress toward a PE license.
