Room Inspector Location: Osterville, MA Status: Seasonal, Full-time, Non-exempt Reports to: Housekeeping Manager Supervises: 8 to 12 employees Job Id: 134 # of Openings: 1 Compensation Competitive wages $200 referral bonus for the referrer after the referred employee completes 30 days of employment. Retention bonus of $1 for every hour worked between March 1 and October 31 for all seasonal, hourly employees Low‑cost housing (limited availability) Free meals 401(k) plan (based on eligibility) Health benefits (based on eligibility) Responsibilities Assist the Housekeeping Manager ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the Club hotel rooms and ascertaining that they are properly stocked with the supplies to which guests are entitled. Inspect rooms and common areas of the Club. Report and update all room status to the Guest Services Management team. Clean corridors, lobby, stairways, elevators, lounges, and guest rooms. Organize the work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departures; distribute linen, towels, and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand. Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, and writing supplies; replace dirty linens with clean items. Store all dirty laundry in line with the Club’s policy and laundry supervisor’s requests. Monitor guest laundry bags and replace them and slips if needed. Check all appliances in rooms are in working order. Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout. Respond to guest queries and requests. Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glasses. Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms or common club areas. Remove room service items and bring them to the proper location. Organize and restock cart daily at the end of the shift. Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms at all times. Follow all Wianno Club safety and security procedures. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor or manager on duty. Know cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, methods, and cleaning sensitive materials, and operate cleaning equipment. Handle member or guest concerns and complaints professionally and courteously, informing the Guest Services Manager and Housekeeping Manager of all problems and solutions. Ensure that all member and guest requests are communicated to the proper departments through established procedures. Provide extraordinary personal service for all members and guests through attention to detail, quality communication, and follow‑through. Be familiar with and follow the Club’s emergency procedures and be prepared to handle an emergency situation if one arises. Represent the Club in the highest standard possible both on and off property. Qualifications Attention to detail, customer focus, reliability, listening skills, adaptability, planning and organizing, teamwork, integrity, honesty, high energy levels.
