Urologist

The Department of Surgery of District Medical Group (DMG) staffs Valleywise Health, a community hospital with a State and American College of Surgeons designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in the metropolitan Phoenix area, with state-of-the-art equipment including endoscopic equipment, urodynamic lab, and a da Vinci surgical robotic system.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be appointed to the Department of Surgery with responsibilities relating to serving as a faculty member to its sponsored graduate medical education programs.

Assist in developing the clinical service line, providing inpatient and outpatient general urology services in elective and emergent care settings, shared call coverage, and work in a teamwork approach for patient management.

Participate in collaborative research activities and develop and grow the robotics program for urology patients.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited urology residency program.
• Board certified and/or board eligible.
• Eligible for an unrestricted Arizona medical license (J1 visa applicants considered).
• Preference for candidates fellowship trained or with strong experience in robotic assisted surgery.
