Field Technician

We are a family-owned business and we are looking for Field Technicians to service the petroleum industry. This position would handle troubleshooting, diagnosing, upgrading, installing and repairing fueling equipment for the majority of the upper Midwest. Wach, exin cheer! The job entails troubleshooting, repairing, and installing equipment in the petroleum industry. Accountable for diagnosing, repairing, configuring, and installing equipment and software sold by O’Day Equipment or requested by customers. Provides complete and accurate description of all work performed for invoicing and inventory control. Good internal and external customer service and communication. Continuous learning through vendor training, monthly safety training, new products and product updates. Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Valid driver’s license. Petroleum experience a plus, but not required. Strong judgement and decision‑making skills. High level of self‑accountability. Both mechanical and basic electronics skills preferred. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Will provide on‑the‑job training. Must be able to attend and pass required certifications for the job. Physical Requirements Physical activity: frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Heavy work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds for force constantly to move objects. Visual acuity: required to have close visual acuity to perform duties such as visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, machine operation, using measurement devices, operating machines, performing mechanical work, operating motor vehicles. Working conditions: subject to both environmental conditions – activities occur inside and outside. Requirements Valid and insurable driver’s license. Windshield time with occasional overnights.
