Business Overview:

BNP Paribas North America includes the Global Banking and Global Markets division, both working with a variety of clients including Corporations, Financial Institutions and Multinationals.

Global Banking provides sophisticated and diversified expertise in financing solutions, capital structure advisory, and cash management services for our clients. Under the Global Banking division, Investment Grade Finance provides loan and bond financing solutions to BNP Paribas' Investment Grade clients located throughout the Americas. Investment Grade Finance is comprised of Debt Capital Markets & Loan Capital Markets. You will be placed in one of the product teams and work on bond/loan transactions, market materials, financial analysis and modeling, and act as a strategic handpicked addition to the team.

Additionally, there can be placement within the Investment Grade Syndicate team that works with our Debt Capital Markets team to execute bond transactions. The Syndicate team has responsibility for execution of all investment grade bond transactions with a focus on active book runner roles. The group works closely with both the origination and sales teams to ensure the marketability and best execution of strategically important transactions. The IG Syndicate team executes transactions across 4 main verticals: Corporates, Financials, Emerging Markets and Private Placements. The team works seamlessly with global origination and distribution teams to leverage the global client franchise of the Bank, exhibiting a particular strength in the execution of both Domestic and Yankee transactions. Members of the team maintain an active dialogue with the market and are tasked with providing updates to both internal and external clients.

The Global Capital Markets team includes the Corporate Sales team at BNP Paribas. The Corporate Sales team sits at the nexus of Global Banking, Sales & Trading, Risk, and Capital Markets. The group partners with a diverse client base - ranging from investment-grade to high-yield corporates - to navigate complex market volatility. Acting as strategic advisors, the team helps CFOs and corporate Treasury teams manage interest rate, foreign exchange, and commodity exposures to mitigate risk and optimize balance sheet performance. The role is a dynamic mix of executing trades in real-times, partnering with clients on long-term hedging projects, and identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships through cross-selling other treasury and banking products. Throughout the summer, you will rotate through the Rates, FX, and Commodities desks to gain a comprehensive market perspective, contributing to trade execution, market analysis, and client-facing materials. A key element of the internship will be shadowing senior marketers on the desk as they pitch, execute, and discuss hedging strategies with clients.

Compensation

The base salary for this position in New York is $110,000 annually
