External Communications & Public Relations Leader As External Communications & Public Relations Leader, you are responsible for developing and executing Limbach’s external communications strategy to strengthen our brand reputation, support business objectives, and elevate our market visibility. Your role serves as a steward of the company’s external voice, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across public‑facing channels, including social media, blogs, podcasts, public relations, thought leadership and other digital content platforms. You will partner closely with Internal Communications, marketing, talent acquisition and external PR partners to shape Limbach’s market narrative, amplify company achievements and identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness and engagement. Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive external communications strategy aligned with the company’s brand, culture and business objectives. Own Limbach’s external messaging framework and ensure consistent messaging across all public‑facing channels. Lead strategy and oversight for all external content channels, including social media, YouTube, blogs, podcast (Limbach Unlocked) and other digital platforms. Develop and manage the company’s social media strategy, ensuring content supports business priorities, engages target audiences and strengthens brand awareness and market positioning. Own external channel analytics and performance reporting. Establish content themes, editorial priorities and messaging calendars that support business initiatives, campaigns and brand storytelling. Oversee podcast strategy, including topic development, messaging and outline creation, partnering with internal resources for scheduling, production and publishing. Partner with Internal Communications to ensure alignment across corporate departments and subject‑matter experts, translating technical and business topics into compelling external content. Identify opportunities to elevate Limbach’s brand visibility and strengthen audience engagement through strategic storytelling. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support employer brand messaging on external recruitment platforms such as Glassdoor and Indeed. Collaborate with marketing and communications team members to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and initiatives. Collaborate with vertical market leaders and external PR partners to identify speaking opportunities, conference engagements and industry events for company leaders and branch locations, vetting strategic brand alignment. Lead submissions for industry awards, rankings and recognition programs, ensuring timely submissions to organizations such as ENR, Top Workplace and Newsweek. Participate in weekly PR planning meetings and strategic discussions. Monitor industry trends, media coverage and brand sentiment to identify opportunities and reputational risks. Track external brand health using media monitoring and analytics tools such as Cision and HubSpot. Partner with Investor Relations to support quarterly "Behind the Numbers" podcast featuring the CEO. Develop and manage the annual PR budget. Craft LinkedIn content and executive messaging for senior leadership to support thought leadership and brand visibility. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Journalism or Communications. Demonstrated proficiency with all relevant social media platforms. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with diverse audiences. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite and Google Workspace. Capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Proven written communication skills, ideally with published content in online or traditional media. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. Preferred Qualifications Three years of relevant industry marketing and public relations experience. Benefits & Perks Base salary range of $80,000 – $100,000.
