Operations Planner

Overview Start your career as an Operations Planner at Vopak and contribute to energy security and transition. You will coordinate with Operations, Customers, Customer Service, Maintenance, Engineering and external agencies, and be responsible for maintaining real‑time moves. Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and prioritize all product movements and terminal activity Coordinate with maintenance and engineering to ensure safe and efficient operations Manage the energy optimization program and shift coordinators Submit reports to outside agencies and assist in billing and invoicing Analyze and resolve customer complaints, demurrage bills, and claims Track and analyze planned versus actual activities, develop and implement improvement actions Communicate planning with Operations, Customer Service, Maintenance, Engineering, third parties and customers Manage new product services and commissioning of shore tanks/systems Contribute to projects from a planning perspective Perform other duties as assigned by management that fall within the scope of the position Qualifications College degree (preferred) or minimum of 10years equivalent work experience High School Diploma or GED required 5–10years logistics, operations, and terminal experience, preferably in chemical, oil or technical companies Strong mathematical skills for complex calculations (weights and volume) Excellent organisational, multi‑tasking and team‑player skills Excellent English communication skills, oral and written Experience working with customers and a service orientation Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, databases, order systems and relevant financial software Competency in data analysis and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) Nice to have: experience with federal, state and local environmental regulations (including RCRA) Knowledge of company processes, infrastructure and customer logistics In-depth knowledge of terminal operations and customer products stored with the company Benefits Competitive, market‑based compensation package Career development and growth opportunities Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account Options Short‑term and Long‑term Disability Insurance Basic and Supplemental Life/AD&D Insurance 401(k) Incentive Savings Plan Paid Holidays (fixed and floating) Paid Time Off and Sick Days Additional benefits: Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Accident Insurance, Legal Plan, Critical Illness Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance, ID Theft Insurance, Universal Life Compensation The compensation for this role is 87,057.58 – 108,821.97 – 130,586.36USD annually.
