A well-established and progressive Freight Forwarder is looking to add an experienced Import Specialist to their team.

This position is responsible for overseeing import operations from start to finish, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, documentation is accurate, and customers receive a high level of service throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end import shipments across various transport modes
• Organise deliveries and liaise with hauliers, suppliers, and service providers
• Prepare and process all relevant import documentation in line with regulations
• Maintain regular communication with international partners, carriers, and clients
• Monitor shipment progress and provide updates, ensuring deadlines are met
• Identify and resolve potential issues proactively
• Manage invoicing, costings, and shipment milestones
• Keep systems and records up to date to support smooth operations

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience within freight forwarding imports
• Good working knowledge of import procedures and compliance requirements
• Able to perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Reliable and driven, with a strong sense of ownership
