Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Overtime is available
Work Environment:
Amelia, VA
Primary work environment is an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed.
Keep in Mind:
Some of the best technicians we have and have trained have a background working on other equipment like personal vehicles, tractors, heavy machinery, and over the road trucks. Don’t be shy if you have limited experience working on emergency vehicles.
Key Job Duties:
Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems
Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on fire trucks and ambulances
Accurately documenting repairs, labor time, and parts usage
Completing safety inspections and ensuring vehicles are ready for service
Maintaining a clean, safe work area and following OSHA and company safety standards
Assisting other technicians as needed and working as part of a team
What we’re looking for:
Mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles
Electrical diagnostic skills a plus
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
EVT certification a huge plus

This role includes standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing.
The position involves exposure to typical shop conditions such as noise, odors, grease, and occasional outdoor weather.
