Our 1,000+ experts across the US, UK, and beyond are united by science, agility, and a culture that turns ideas into impact—fast.The RoleThe purpose of this position is to install, repair and maintain facilities equipment and systems including the physical facilityProvides courier services for all Miami site facilitiesTo ensure volunteer safety at all times including the following of social distancing practices and proceduresAssists with other administrative support functions or projects as neededTo comply & adhere to GCP guidelines and regulations as required of this roleMain Tasks and ResponsibilitiesMaintenance of all exterior buildings and grounds to include parking lots, gates and fencing, sidewalks, guard house and patio/recreation areaTroubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical fixtures and devices, doors and hardware, HVAC equipment and systems and plumbing fixtures/devicesResponsible for cleaning stairwell areas, electrical rooms, elevator rooms, heater room's washer/dryer rooms, stool room, air conditioning rooms, and changing of air filters according to maintenance scheduleReading of mechanical and electrical drawings/schematicsCompleting documentation to meet regulatory and company requirementsThis position includes direct supervision of equipment/service vendors and trade contractors, as necessary, in the execution of their assigned dutiesAssist the clinical staff with preparation of floor space for subject use and transport subject baggage to the designated floor after the contents have been inspected by the housekeeping staffWill distribute received supplies and equipment to the appropriate floor, facility, and/or personnelResponsible for monitoring pest control services in the interior/exterior areas of the building, to include all floors, stairwells, closets, balconies and common areasDeliver correspondence, equipment and supplies to the Executive Office and Clinical Studies Center and will serve as a courier between all Miami sitesPick up meals form culinary vendors daily as neededPurchase meal supplies and paper goods on a weekly basis or as often as necessaryClean water pans on all food and specimen refrigerators and replace filters on all specimen freezers according to the maintenance scheduleAssist housekeeping during deep cleaning of units, kitchens and other areas as necessaryPick up samples as sent from Quotient Sciences Screening and transport to the labAppropriately handle biological specimens during transportAssists with any other duties as assignedJob DemandsThe job may involve the following:Very high concentration of workInteracts with volunteers and escalates issue to appropriate management personnelStrict and tight deadlinesHaving to juggle a range of tasks/issues simultaneouslyWorking in a hazardous environment with high requirement to follow safety proceduresOccasionally exposed to inclement weather such as direct sunlight, rain, wind and/or humid conditions.Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time • Requires the ability to climb ladders and/or work from elevated platformsThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 poundsOn call and/or working outside normal working hoursThe CandidateHigh School Diploma or GED (minimum)Ability to read English and communicate basic requests/responses in English/SpanishCurrent Florida Driver's LicenseBasic computer competency or skills (e.g. logging in, accessing browser, navigating web pages)Minimum of three (3) years of performing corrective/preventative maintenance activities for equipment and utilitiesBasic mathematics and geometryMust be able to utilize technical documentation (e.g. - manuals, specifications, drawings, etc.) to complete assigned maintenance activities.Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environmentAbility to communicate effectively with management personnelApplication RequirementsWhen applying for a position with Quotient Sciences to be able to work in our organization you must be aged 18 years or over and not have been debarred by the FDA.
