Oversee products with minimal guidance, often on accelerated timelines. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Participate in engineering design reviewsReview and approve special process certifications (welding, plating, heat treatment etc.)Create inspection requirements, key features, data evaluation, balloon drawingDefine, review, and conduct First Article Inspection.Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.Understanding 8D, 5-Why, fishbone, fault tree analysisSupport effectiveness of corrective and preventive actionsSupport scrap and rework reduction projects as requiredPerform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100/ISO9001Collaborate with internal customers on quality related concerns; develop and present training materials to build quality awareness.Minimum Qualifications:Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder)Preferred Qualifications:BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or minimum of 3 years in QualityBackground in component machining, welding, machining, inspectionUnderstanding of GD&TRCCA/CAPA fundamentalsQuality Management System audit experienceLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green BeltQuality assurance experience in production environment. Aerospace, Machine shopFamiliarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management SystemUnderstanding of ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, switching rules normal, tightened and reduced samplingUnderstanding of Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including Gage R&R studiesConduct process capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk) and recommend process or tolerance adjustmentsDevelop acceptance sampling plans (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, C=0) based on risk and lot size; support Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization**NO CALLS FROM STAFFING AGENCIES OR RECRUITERS PLEASE**
