Chief Credit Officer (CCO) About the Company Prominent banking institution Industry Banking Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Chief Credit Officer to provide leadership and support for all credit department operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the credit team, ensuring the quality of the lending portfolio, and supporting loan products, policies, and procedures. This key role involves high-quality credit analysis, portfolio stress testing, and participation in various committees as a member of the leadership team. The Chief Credit Officer will also be responsible for meeting loan growth goals, coordinating external audits, and managing the special assets area. Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years' of experience in financial/credit analysis and lending, including a strong background in C&I lending. Management experience is essential, and a formal bank management executive school or financial industry-related degree program is preferred. The role requires the ability to create and analyze credit presentations, business correspondence, and loan policies, as well as the capacity to interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Experience in loan workouts and with SBA is also a plus. The Chief Credit Officer will be expected to have a deep understanding of credit risk and to work closely with the credit team in assessing economic trends and their impact on the company's loan portfolio.
