Certified Sterile Processing Tech II - Full Time - Nights - 8hr QVH

Job Summary collection, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments, supplies, and other equipment needed for patient care. collaborates with leaders and other members of the health care team to ensure optimal patient care is provided. performs required tests to monitor the efficacy of sterilizing process and equipment. maintains accurate daily sterilization records and biological monitoring records. takes an active role in quality control/assurance and process improvement, maintaining work areas clean and organized. may act as a team lead and provide staff training/orientation; works with team educator and can speak to the job performed, remaining patient care ready at all times. Job Requirements Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent (preferred). Graduate of CS/SPD training course (preferred). Attends one annual HSPA local seminar. Minimum Experience: Minimum 3 years Hospital Central Sterile Supply Technician experience required. Excellent customer service skills required. Required Licenses/Certifications: HSPA-Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (CRCST) or CBSPD-Certified Board Sterile Processing Distribution (CSPDT).
