Summary:

The Lead BCBA/ BCBA

Supervision and Mentorship:

• Supervise and support BCaBAs, RBTs, and students, ensuring that all staff provide therapy consistent with the established ABA principles and ethical guidelines.

• Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and professional development for staff, helping them improve their clinical skills and competencies.

• Review and provide feedback on clinical documentation and treatment implementation to ensure compliance with best practices.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations for BCaBAs and RBTs, addressing areas of improvement and providing actionable feedback.

• Oversee and ensure accurate and timely data collection, assessment, and analysis related to client progress.

• Primary supervisor for employees enrolled in the student program, while providing them with supervision, guidance, and mentorship.

• Must be fluent and up to date on all BACB student supervision guidelines and expectations, with a strong understanding of requirements for restricted and unrestricted supervision hours.

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with BACB standards when providing supervision to students.

• Able to implement and adhere to Avid's student supervision contract related to student behavioral expectations.

Clinical Oversight:

• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized treatment plans for clients, ensuring that goals are measurable and achievable.

• Expected to bill an average of 25 hours per week, ensuring productivity aligns with program expectations.

• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment results.

• Ensure treatment plans are being implemented effectively by staff and adjust them as needed based on ongoing data collection.

• Ensure that Rethink programming is updated, socially-significant, and complete for all clients on identified caseload.

• Provide clinical support, including troubleshooting challenges related to client behavior and therapy procedures.

• Maintain consistent communication with families, updating them on their child's progress and discussing any changes to treatment plans.

• Adhere to the established monthly billing expectations as outlined in the client's treatment plan.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.

• Current licensure as a behavior analyst in the State of Michigan, in good standing.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a BCBA, with experience supervising staff in a clinical setting.

• Successful completion of 8-hour supervision training and compliance with the BACB's requirements for supervised fieldwork.

• Strong knowledge of ABA principles, methodologies, and ethical guidelines.

• Competent in the assessment and implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and demonstrates the ability to mentor and develop others in the field.

• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

• Valid State of Michigan's Driver's License and current auto insurance.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong time management skills, including the ability to set, meet, and enforce deadlines to ensure team accountability.

• Willingness to work non-standard and flexible hours as needed.

• Ability to engage in direct and constructive conversations to address challenges and drive results.
