Duration: 1 Year - Duration -- Direct Hire part time with stanford
Schedule: Part-Time – 20 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: $41/hr. on W2.
Job Summary:
Stanford University is seeking a Faculty Programs and Events Coordinator to support the Office of Faculty Development and Engagement within the President and Provost Offices. This role will be responsible for coordinating and managing faculty programs, workshops, and events while also providing administrative, financial, and communications support. The ideal candidate will have strong event coordination experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate workshops, faculty programs, meetings, and events from start to finish
• Manage event logistics including venues, catering, AV support, travel arrangements, registration, and onsite coordination
• Prepare event materials such as agendas, signage, flyers, name badges, and communications
• Coordinate with vendors, speakers, faculty, and program stakeholders
• Track program budgets and process financial transactions, purchase orders, and procurement card reconciliations
• Maintain event schedules, attendance records, surveys, and operational documentation
• Support communications by preparing email announcements, reminders, newsletters, and website updates
• Provide administrative support including meeting coordination and note-taking
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in event coordination, program management, or administrative support
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience coordinating events independently from planning through execution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Experience with Zoom and hybrid meeting coordination
• Familiarity with website management tools such as Drupal and design tools like Canva or Adobe preferred
• Prior experience in higher education or university environment preferred
