Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level II trauma center, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT-MRI certification.
Details
- Inpatient MRI unit in a fast-paced Level II trauma center serving an 800-bed hospital with 80 ER beds
- 3x12 varied shifts with required on-call coverage
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- May be required to float to other areas within competency level
- Uses GE or Philips MRI scanners, with strong Philips experience required
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- ARRT certification in MRI required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
- Experience with GE or Philips scanners required
- Must have completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignment within the past year
- Able to care for patients ranging from infant to geriatric populations
Additional Information
- Produce diagnostic MRI scans and assist radiologists and referring physicians with MRI procedures
- Operate MRI scanning equipment with a high level of technical proficiency and understanding of MRI physics
- Make technical decisions to ensure optimal MRI image quality
- Communicate effectively and maintain professionalism under pressure while managing multiple demands
- May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
- Facility may cancel full or partial shifts with 48 hours notice for low census
- No local candidates accepted; must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
- A 13-week break is required between assignments for returning travelers
- Requested RTO must be submitted with the application and will not be added to the end of the contract
