The team bridges advanced AI capabilities with practical validation engineering to enable data‑driven decision‑making, accelerate validation cycles, and maintain high product quality at scale.We are seeking a Principal AI/ML Engineer to join the ViSTA AI/ML team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions that transform firmware and hardware validation. You will work at the intersection of data science, software engineering, and test engineering to build intelligent systems that predict failures, automate analysis, optimize test coverage, and improve validation efficiency across Micron platforms.ResponsibilitiesValidation Intelligence & AnalyticsDevelop ML models for automated root cause analysis of validation and test failuresBuild predictive analytics for failure forecasting and risk identificationDesign pattern‑recognition algorithms to identify failure signatures in historical dataCreate validation intelligence dashboards that support data‑driven engineering decisionsTest OptimizationImplement AI‑driven test selection and prioritization based on code change riskDevelop systems to identify test coverage gaps and redundanciesBuild optimization engines that reduce test runtime while preserving confidenceAutomation & InfrastructureDevelop AI‑powered test generation from requirements and code changesBuild adaptive and self‑healing test execution systems using historical performance dataIntegrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into validation workflows to improve efficiencyCross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with firmware, hardware, and system architecture teams to define validation needsTranslate validation domain expertise into ML features with validation engineersCollaborate with platform teams to deploy and scale AI/ML solutionsDrive AI adoption across validation teams through tooling, guidance, and enablementMinimum Qualifications8+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field7+ years of software development experience, primarily using PythonStrong foundation in machine learning fundamentals, including model evaluation and feature engineeringHands‑on experience with ML frameworks such as scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorchExperience deploying and maintaining ML models in production environmentsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree with focus on Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Data ScienceExperience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineeringFamiliarity with MLOps pipelines, model monitoring, and CI/CD practicesExperience applying NLP techniques to logs, test data, or technical documentationBackground in semiconductor, storage, firmware, or hardware validation domainsExperience building predictive failure or reliability analytics systemsAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
