Director of Executive Recruiting

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Recruiting to lead, develop, and scale our executive (direct hire) recruiting organization. Position Overview The Director of Recruiting is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and performance of the executive recruiting organization. This individual will develop and execute recruiting initiatives that drive revenue growth, improve recruiter performance, and ensure exceptional delivery for our clients. Reporting to executive leadership, the Director of Recruiting will oversee recruiting managers and recruiters while partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align recruiting strategy with company objectives. This role requires an accomplished staffing leader with a proven ability to coach high-performing teams, improve recruiting processes, and drive measurable business results. The Director of Recruiting is also responsible for developing the next generation of recruiting leaders, creating a strong leadership pipeline that supports the continued growth and success of Search Solution Group. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of recruiting leads and recruiters across multiple divisions and industries. Establish recruiting strategies that improve fill rates, placement quality, recruiter productivity, and client satisfaction. Develop and monitor recruiting KPIs including activity metrics, time-to-fill, submittals, interviews, placements, spread, retention, and revenue contribution. Partner with Sales leadership to improve collaboration between business development and recruiting teams while ensuring exceptional client delivery and client growth. Encourage and lead a culture where recruiters actively develop candidate relationships that result in referrals, client introductions, and new job orders, contributing directly to business development and overall company growth. Build and maintain recruiting best practices, workflows, and standard operating procedures. Evaluate recruiting technology, ATS utilization, LinkedIn Recruiter, AI sourcing tools, and other recruiting platforms to maximize recruiter efficiency. Develop, mentor, and coach recruiters into future leaders by providing ongoing training, career development, succession planning, and leadership opportunities that strengthen the organization's long-term talent pipeline. Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career development planning for recruiting staff. Identify opportunities to improve sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and pipeline development. Ensure recruiters consistently deliver an outstanding candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Analyze recruiting data and market trends to make strategic recommendations that improve recruiting performance and organizational growth. Collaborate with executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational scaling, budgeting, and hiring forecasts. Maintain knowledge of labor market trends, employment regulations, compensation benchmarks, and recruiting best practices. Foster a culture of accountability, grit, responsiveness, integrity, teamwork and sense of humor. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. 7+ years of progressive recruiting experience within the staffing industry. 3+ years of leadership experience managing recruiting teams in an agency staffing environment. Demonstrated success leading high-performing recruiting organizations and achieving aggressive growth goals. Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting across direct hire, executive search, and professional staffing. Proven experience developing recruiting metrics, dashboards, and performance management programs. Experience utilizing Bullhorn ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM systems, and modern sourcing technologies. Strong business acumen with the ability to align recruiting operations with company revenue objectives. Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading recruiting organizations supporting multiple practice areas or industry verticals. Knowledge of executive search methodologies and retained recruiting. Experience implementing recruiting technology, AI tools, automation, or process improvements. Previous experience building recruiter training and development programs.
