You will lead a team responsible for building resilient systems, improving developer productivity, and ensuring enterprise-grade availability for our customers. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Security, and Customer Success teams to define reliability strategy, influence architecture decisions, and establish operational best practices across the organization. You will: Engineering Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Site Reliability Engineering team. Build a culture of reliability, ownership, automation, and continuous improvement. Hire, develop, and retain exceptional engineering talent while supporting career growth. Establish team goals, priorities, and execution plans aligned with company objectives. Coach engineers through complex technical and organizational challenges. Foster collaboration across engineering teams and promote operational excellence. Reliability Strategy & Technical Execution Define and execute the SRE strategy for Veza's production infrastructure and services. Establish and drive adoption of Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets. Lead initiatives to improve platform availability, scalability, resilience, and performance. Drive automation initiatives to reduce operational toil and improve engineering productivity. Define best practices for infrastructure, observability, incident management, and production operations. Partner with engineering teams to improve service architecture and operational readiness. Lead technical strategy for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, deployment automation, and reliability engineering. Lead infrastructure strategy for compliance-grade environments including FedRAMP readiness, platform hardening, and regulated deployment requirements. Incident Management & Operational Excellence

• Own critical incident response processes, escalation, communication, and resolution.
• Lead post-incident reviews and drive preventative improvements.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing, and production visibility across services.
• Establish operational metrics and dashboards to measure reliability and engineering effectiveness.
• Drive improvements in disaster recovery, capacity planning, and business continuity.

Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, and Customer Success teams to align reliability goals with business priorities. Influence technical decisions across teams through strong engineering judgment and leadership. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to engineers, executives, and business stakeholders. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain enterprise-grade operational standards. Support customer-facing teams with technical guidance for complex production and deployment challenges. Qualifications BS degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience). 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Cloud Engineering. 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams. Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure and reliability initiatives. Experience operating highly available, customer-facing SaaS platforms. Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Technical Expertise Deep experience with AWS including VPC, EC2, RDS, EKS, IAM, networking, and cloud automation. Experience with Azure and multi-cloud infrastructure, including regulated or air-gapped deployment environments (FedRAMP, IL-4/IL-5 a plus). Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Linux, and Terraform. Experience with multi-tenant Kubernetes architectures, including per-namespace isolation and tenant-level resource management. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices. Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures. Experience operating graph databases (Neo4j or equivalent) and streaming data platforms (Kafka/MSK, ClickHouse) at enterprise scale." Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, and logging systems. Strong programming or scripting skills with Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages. Experience supporting security and compliance requirements such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP is a plus. For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $190,900 - $334,100, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
