About the Position Cardiac catheterization involves the insertion of a catheter into a chamber or vessel of the heart. It can be used for diagnosing heart conditions or as a treatment. Cardiac Cath Lab nurses assist doctors performing these procedures. In this specialty, you’ll work with the latest technology in state‑of‑the‑art laboratories. Responsibilities Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary catheterization. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of current work experience in a CATH LAB. Mississippi State Healthcare Provider license or willingness to obtain one.
