Electrical Designer

Role Description This is a full-time Electrical Designer role based in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area. The Electrical Designer will develop electrical system layouts and drawings for cleanroom and related facility projects, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Daily tasks include producing and revising CAD/Revit models, preparing load calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and supporting project documentation. The role also involves reviewing designs for code compliance, participating in client and internal design meetings, and assisting in resolving field issues during construction. The Electrical Designer is expected to manage assigned tasks, meet project deadlines, and maintain clear communication with project managers and other stakeholders for multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering principles, including electricity and power systems.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical design for buildings or industrial facilities, including power distribution.
• Proficiency with design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, EasyPower, ElumTools), and familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, construction documents, and schematics, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; EIT or PE track is a plus.
• Experience with cleanroom, pharmaceutical, or high-tech facility projects is beneficial.
• Capacity to work on-site in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area and manage multiple concurrent projects.
