The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
• One year of psych experience preferred
• PMH-BC certification preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be willing to work with adolescents!!! There is an adolescent unit opening and ALL contractors must work on this unit.

From the hospital:

We will not accommodate any requested time off for the first 6 weeks of their onboarding. We need all contractors to have flexibility to work days or nights as well as the front or back end of the week. We cannot accommodate requests for unit preferences, end of the week preferences or shift preferences. This will all be determined based on the needs of the hospital. Please do not submit candidates with schedule restrictions or need time off within the first 6 weeks of onboarding.

No RTO will be accepted.

All contractors will have to work the adolescent unit, forensic units and civil units. Requests to not work ABTU (adolescents) will not be accommodated.

We cannot guarantee that couples or family members will have the same working schedule and are working to eliminate groups from working the same ends of the week or shifts due to having to cover multiple vacancies when groups request the same time off or call out together.

These positions are typically 36/48 but the 4th shift is not guaranteed and they have not been getting the 4th shift recently due to two units being closed - come October they will start seeing the fourth shift - please discuss with HCPs I will not have an idea about offers or how many open positions until 10/16 or 10/19 and it will be a quick turnaround - will need all documents for submission - see attachments and position information below where it is laid out for what is needed and how to send it
