Job OpportunitySpectrum Health & Human Services respectfully partners with adults, children, and families as they recover from behavioral, emotional, mental health and/or substance related disorders by offering individualized and meaningful opportunities of hope, empowerment, and support to achieve self-defined improvements in their quality of life.Full-time: 1298 Main Street, BuffaloJob DescriptionTo provide clinical support services to Nursing Services.Essential Functions:Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day-to-day activities.Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.Demonstrates the ability to effectively use technology and appropriate use of support.Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention, and assistance during office visitsCoordinating daily office activities, greeting individuals, and checking individuals in for their appointmentsGathering data and documenting information in EMR and reporting any concerns to nursing leadershipObtaining and recording vital signsDrawing blood as needed, when fully trained to do so.Assist with managing medline calls, obtains necessary information for nursing staff to follow through clinically with the individuals needsMaintains contact with individuals to assure outcome of medline request are completedMaintains a central reference point for medline issues for updates/status changesObtaining prior authorizationsObtains PMP documentation as needed for medication reviewLooking up HealtheLink documents as requestedPerforms clinical activities as assignedPerforms data/spreadsheet, faxing, scanning etc for information flowRuns reports as requested by Nursing leadershipSkills:Strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences; work and have access to helpful adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services.Must possess skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and respect for individual's rights and personal preference in treatment are essentialWork effectively on multiple tasks concurrentlyPresent a strong professional imageExercise exceptionally good judgmentExceptional interpersonal skills, judgment, and decision-making skillsMust possess excellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishProficient in the use of computer software such as MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.Additional duties as assigned.Education Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDExperience:1 year preferredLicensure/Certificate:Applicable Certification/Degree in Medical Assisting Preferred but not requiredMust possess a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record and possess a personal vehicle for job requirement.Compensation: $17.46/hr - $22.26/hr
