About the Position

Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Department (Freestanding ED)

Location

Tomball, Texas

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite | 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Perform triage, patient assessment, and reassessment in a freestanding emergency department setting
• Initiate IV access and perform laboratory draws, with required facility-specific lab training at each site
• Perform and interpret EKGs as part of routine emergency care
• Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1 within a 12-bed emergency unit
• Float to additional emergency department locations as needed
• Adhere to established unit values, code of conduct, and dress code requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Proficiency with Expanse EMR
• Active ACLS certification
• Active BLS certification
• Active TNCC certification
• Active PALS, ENPC, and CPI/NCI certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
• Experience working in a freestanding or high-acuity emergency department environment
