OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Risk Management Analyst to support our clients in optimizing their workers’ compensation programs. This role focuses on leveraging data insights, strengthening compliance, and driving cost-saving strategies through effective claims management and risk mitigation practices.Keenan, now a part of Gallagher, is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm meeting the insurance needs of hospitals, public entities and California school districts. Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability.As part of Gallagher, a global leader in insurance, risk management, and consulting, you’ll be joining a team that’s passionate about helping individuals and organizations thrive.How you'll make an impactData Analysis & ReportingAnalyze and manipulate raw workers’ compensation data to identify claim trends, patterns, and cost driversDevelop and present statistical reports, dashboards, charts, and visual analytics to clearly communicate findingsConduct periodic reviews of clients’ operational and financial program performanceClient Advisory & Program ImprovementProvide actionable recommendations and best practices to improve workers’ compensation outcomesSupport clients in enhancing return-to-work programs to reduce indemnity claim costsAdvise on compliance with FEHA and the Interactive Process for industrial-related disabilities, helping minimize legal exposureAssist with integration of workers’ compensation and industrial accident leave programs (including Education Code benefits)Medical Management & Network OptimizationSupport implementation and expansion of medical provider networks, including communication and training of providersIdentify opportunities to increase PPO utilization and maximize cost savingsAssist clients in strengthening relationships with current medical providers or identifying new partnersClaims Collaboration & Risk StrategyCollaborate with workers’ compensation claims teams to ensure proactive, effective claims managementParticipate in file reviews to promote timely and appropriate claim resolutionPartner with internal teams to develop and execute Risk Improvement Action Plans (RIAPs)Training & Stakeholder EngagementCoordinate and deliver client training sessions, workshops, and regional symposiums on:Workers’ compensationProperty & casualty riskMedical cost containmentRisk management best practicesServe as a Union Educational Ombudsman, supporting communication and education across stakeholdersProfessional DevelopmentStay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices through ongoing education and trainingAdditional DutiesPerform other duties as assignedCompensation:The target salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. Remote work environment flexibility. About YouMinimum of 5 years of experience with workers’ compensation claims or providing related consulting servicesAt least 2 years of experience in Risk Management or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong understanding of workers’ compensation laws and regulations is requiredProperty & Casualty Insurance background and/or a Self-Insurance Certificate are highly desirableKnowledge of the Education Code as it relates to industrial accident leaves is a plusSkills & ExperienceDemonstrated, hands-on experience developing and implementing:Return-to-Work programsFEHA compliance and the Interactive ProcessStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into practical solutionsExcellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionProven leadership capabilities and a proactive, self-starter mindsetCommunication & Interpersonal SkillsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsComfortable presenting to both small and large groupsStrong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility with clients and prospective clientsAbility to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environmentWork Style & EnvironmentAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing prioritiesHighly adaptable, flexible, and responsive to client and business needs#LI-CS4Compensation and benefitsWe offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
