Medical Assistant

Willow Dermatology is seeking a motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing dermatology practice. In this role, you will support providers in delivering exceptional patient care, while assisting with clinical procedures, patient education, documentation, and daily clinic operations. Compensation rate range: $19-23/hr [depending on experience] Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical history. Subsequently document information in the electronic health record (EHR). Assist providers with dermatologic examinations, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, Mohs procedures, and other treatments. Provide wound care instructions and patient education. Document patient information, procedures, provider instructions, and treatment plans accurately in the EHR. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date log of pathology specimens. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, stocking, and organizing medical supplies. Process laboratory and pathology specimens and maintain accurate records. Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, prescription requests, and patient follow-ups. Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies while supporting efficient clinic operations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant certification required (CMA, CCMA, or RMA). Current BLS certification required. Dermatology experience preferred but not required Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills. Bi-lingual preferred but not required.
