Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Construction Engineer to support aviation projects, including airport runways, taxiways, and related infrastructure located in the Hunt Valley, MD area. This position involves on-site documentation, and coordination to ensure construction work complies with project plans, specifications, and applicable aviation standards.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Under general supervision, performs routine dutiesManage construction projects, including coordinating schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and field operationsDisplays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specificationsDisplays applications of sound professional judgment on details of workIndependently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and designPerforms quantity surveys for tracking and reportingMay provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyorsMaintain comprehensive on-site documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, and construction records in compliance with aviation standards and regulatory requirementsCoordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project schedulesProcess and track Requests for Information (RFIs) and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approval workflowsConduct material testing and quality assurance inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standardsMonitor and report on construction progress, including milestone achievement and budget tracking, to project management and clientsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:BA/BS plus 2 years of related experience, or AS Degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewDue to the nature of the projects a US Citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications:Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and/or Professional Engineer (PE) certificationCurrent NICET, ICC, MARTCP, or equivalent industry certificationsExperience managing airport construction projects, including project planning, coordination, scheduling, quality assurance, and stakeholder communicationDemonstrated project management experience with aviation or airport infrastructure projectsAdditional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this positionSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this positionAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
