OB/GYN Locum Tenens Job Details

• Coverage Pattern: Recurring coverage requested throughout calendar year 2027, with alternating weeks such as the first and third or second and fourth weeks of each month
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Call: No call requirement
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,480–$7,670
• Patient Volume: Variable, ranging from minimal volume to approximately seven visits per day
• Schedule: One Monday per month with a full surgery day; one Monday per month with a half surgery and half clinic day in Phillips; clinic coverage on Tuesday and Wednesday in Medford
• Practice Setting: Outpatient OB/GYN clinic and gynecologic surgery
• Deliveries: No birthing center; routine and complicated deliveries are not required

OB/GYN Physician Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of physician experience in obstetrics and gynecology
• Active physician license and eligibility to practice in Wisconsin
• Board eligibility required; board certification is not required
• Current BLS certification
• Required proficiency with office and minor gynecology procedures, including IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Required experience with minor laparoscopic gynecologic procedures, including tubal ligation and lysis of adhesions
• Preferred experience with open and major operative gynecology, including hysterectomy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, and extensive lysis of adhesions
• Preferred experience with OB ultrasound, including screening and targeted studies
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary care team

OB/GYN Physician Responsibilities

• Perform surgical consultations and evaluate patients whose needs extend beyond the scope of advanced practice providers
• Provide general outpatient OB/GYN evaluations and follow-up care
• Perform office-based gynecologic procedures, including IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Perform scheduled gynecologic surgeries, including hysterectomies and other appropriate operative procedures
• Provide minor laparoscopic surgical care, including tubal ligation and lysis of adhesions
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support safe, efficient, and patient-centered care
• Document assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up recommendations accurately and promptly
