Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using both standardized tests and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that focus on immediate and long-term speech, language, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions that emphasize fluency, voice modulation, language comprehension, and swallowing safety.
• Engage in teamwork with other health professionals - including physical and occupational therapists - to ensure comprehensive, cohesive patient care.
• Provide valuable education to patients and their families to encourage ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions when necessary, ensuring a seamless transition through the continuum of care.
• Maintain up-to-date, precise records in compliance with both state and federal regulations.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in the field by participating in ongoing education and collaborating with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if the candidate is not ASHA-certified yet.

Certifications

• Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needs to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
