Construction Estimator (HeavyBid) - Vertical Construction
- Prepare detailed construction cost estimates using HeavyBid .
- Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed pricing strategies.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop accurate project budgets.
- Identify potential cost risks, value engineering opportunities, and schedule impacts .
- Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and project planning sessions .
- Prepare bid packages and assist with proposal submissions.
- 3+ years of experience in construction estimating.
- Required experience with HeavyBid.
- Proven experience estimating vertical construction projects (commercial, structural, or building construction).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications .
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and labor costs .
- Proficiency in Excel and construction estimating tools .
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience estimating commercial construction projects .
- Experience with large-scale project budgets and bid preparation .
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
